This extensive presentation covers two chapters. It is beautifully illustrated and very engaging for the students. This presentation is structured with a starter, a reading task, summary and analysis questions, a structured writing/essay writing task (PEACE Paragraph, Point, Evidence, Audience Cross Reference and Evaluation) an extension task and a plenary. Toni Morrison’s ‘Beloved’ remains an essential text to support our understanding of the post-modern dilemmas of racial inequality. I have taught this novel a number of times and have refined these resources at the close of every academic year. They work! I have successfully used these resources to lead my teaching in the classroom, as homework and distance learning materials and even as tools of revision – all have worked well for the students. This bundle of resources includes 16x2 hour lessons: an introduction to the text lesson, two guided essay writing lessons and thirteen 2x hour lessons covering every chapter. These PowerPoint lessons each contain a starter activity, a glossary of terms, summary and analysis questions, questions exploring themes, an academic writing task, an extension task, a homework assignment and a plenary. These are complete resources that requires no additional labour from the overworked teacher. Approximately two hours of structured classroom work per lesson. Enjoy!

William Shakespeare’s tragedy ‘Hamlet’ remains a celebrated text, still being performed worldwide on-stage and also enjoying a number of reimaged film versions. In our post-modern world of ‘false news’, ‘conspiracies’, ‘social media revenge’ and ‘corrupted politics’, Hamlet remains an essential text. I have taught this text a number of times and have used this specific (revised) resource to lead my teaching in class, as a distance learning material (Google Meet lessons), as a homework assignment and even as a tool of revision – all have worked well for the students. This gothic horror text shadows a tragic love story, exploring a number of key themes that remain significant to post-modern audiences. I have taught this text a number of times in the last twenty years and I have used these specific resources (revised in 2021) to lead my classroom teaching, as distance learning materials for SKYPE lessons, as homework assignments and even as tools of revision – all have worked well for the students.
